Who is the ZEP for?

This position is intended for students or postgraduates to gain well rounded practical experience and so therefore little or no previous experience is needed.
If you’re interested in any of the following things then Zoox can help you …

  • The Science of Marine Conservation

  • Marine Biology and Ecology

  • Marine Monitoring Methods

  • The Marine / Sustainable Tourism Sector

  • Intergovernmental Departments

  • Transboundary Environmental Problems

  • Scuba Diving and the Environment

While this opportunity will see the successful candidate working in the Philippines, Zoox plans to expand the Zoox Experience Programme to Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. The selected individual must be confident enough not to be under constant supervision while working with local and national governments and for those applying for diving positions you must be an experienced (minimum 50 dives) and qualified diver. We have the ability to provide diver training in the UK, Anglesey if you require further qualifications.

So what else do I need to know?

The cost of the ZEP is only a training charge and this will be used to support the Regional Coordination of Green Fins in the Philippines. Costs including flights, accommodation and insurance will have to be covered by the individual but don’t panic as we will help you to keep your costs as low as possible. The next ZEP dates have just been released and will again take place in the Philippines and is open to everyone but we will be accepting only a small number of applicants. Please see below for criteria and more information regarding the ZEP such as dates, costs and locations.
